Wonder Soil Sprout House (Seed Starting Kit)

The Wonder Soil Sprout House is a mini-greenhouse the size of an egg carton. It's compact size makes it convenient for starting seedlings.

To start your seeds, place a Wonder Soil mini wafer into each Sprout House cup. Add water and watch the wafers expand into a rich soil, fortified with worm castings (vermicompost) - a natural source of time-release plant food. Add your seeds, then top with another wafer. Put the Sprout House cover on and watch your seeds sprout!

Because of the design of the Sprout House, seeds start sprouting in just 4-5 days! Perfect for children! When your plants are too large to fit in the Sprout House, simply take the coir pot out of the Sprout House and transplant into a larger container or into your garden. Planting the entire coir pot reduces stress to the plant from being transplanted.

The greenhouse is compact enough to sit on your windowsill and includes everything you need for two plantings. The Sprout House can be used any time of year, including getting a jump-start on your Spring planting. It can be used over and over again - just replace the Wonder Soil wafers.

It is a dehydrated compressed potting medium that expands to 12 times its volume when water is added. It is formulated with a proprietary process combining coir nutrients and polymers to maximize growing success and is superior to any coir, peat or conventional bagged soil.

• Whether used at home or in the classroom, the Sprout House kit is a fun way to introduce children of all ages to gardening. Children love the quick results. The coir pots allow the roots to grow through, which makes it easier for children to learn about the parts of a plant. A wonderful lesson in life science and botony!
• Take your children shopping for plant seeds (vegetable or flower seeds) and let them choose the plants that most appeal to them. Give each child their own Sprout House and have them take care of their plants. (NOTE: Some seeds grow faster than others. For fast-growing, hardy seeds, try Marigold, Sunflower, or Watermelon seeds).
