This set is brand new and still packaged in the original box. I took this out of the box to look at it, and there are some scuff marks on the metal legs. They aren't very noticeable, but if you look for them, you can see them. The wood has variations in patterns and tones, which is typical for natural wood. The wood has a natural finish and is quite smooth.
