Do you and your children love bubbles? We sure do!
Making your own bubble solution at home is a fantastic way to engage kids in a simple, fun, and educational activity. Not only does it provide endless entertainment, it also allows kids to explore basic science concepts.
Here's one of our favorite recipes for making your own bubble solution.
What You Will Need:
- 1 cup Joy or Dawn dish soap (preferable clear, unscented)
- 2 cups WARM water
- 3 tablespoons Glycerin (available at most pharmacies)
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- Large mixing bowl or container
- Bubble wands (store-bought or homemade - see ideas below)
What You Need to Do:
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together - stir gently to avoid creating too many suds.
Stir the solution gently to avoid creating foam, as the foam can interfere with bubble formation. - Let the solution rest for a few hours or overnight. This allows the ingredients to combine better, resulting in better bubbles.
- Store in an air tight container.
Bubble Blower Ideas:
