Eco-Friendly Silk Gift Wrap Ideas

Not only is wrapping gifts in silk a unique, fun activity - it's eco-friendly. The silk can be reused again and again for other presents, and can be played with for imaginative play. Wrapping gifts in silk squares is also easy for young children to do - no tape, no scissors required. Be creative!

What You Will Need:

  • Large Silk Scarf - such as our Play Silks
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Gift Card (optional)

What You Do (Basic Wrap):

  1. Lay a large square piece of silk on a flat surface.
  2. Place a gift to be wrapped in the middle of the silk square.
  3. Lift one point of the silk up and place over the gift box.
  4. Lift the opposite point of silk up and over the first fold of silk.
  5. Lift the remaining two points of silk up and over the gift, and tie the points together. 
  6. Spread out the tied ends to create a bow.

Variations:

  • There are many different variations you can use to wrap your gifts in silk.
